Gloucestershire hospitals dissuade visitors due to bugs
- Published
Visitors are being urged to avoid both Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General hospitals as staff try to stop the spread of a number of illnesses.
Health bosses said it was a precautionary measure to tackle a diarrhoea and vomiting bug along with flu-like infections.
A number of wards at both hospitals are said to be affected and the situation is being reviewed daily.
A spokesman said the restrictions were needed to protect vulnerable patients.
