Man walking with son, two, attacked in Forest of Dean

A Gloucestershire man was assaulted by a stranger while out walking with his two-year-old son on Saturday.

The 26-year-old was walking with his son along Victoria Street in Cinderford, Forest of Dean, when they came across a man shouting obscenities.

They carried on walking but saw him again as they reached Somerset Road.

This time the stranger punched the man twice in the face, causing him to fall to his knees and suffer swelling and bruising to his face, police said.

The attacker was described as white, about 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, with dark hair. He was wearing a grey or light-coloured tracksuit.
