Oxford United fans jailed after Cheltenham mass brawl

A group of Oxford United fans have been sentenced for taking part in a mass brawl in a Cheltenham pub.

The 14, all from Oxford, went to the Moon Under Water in 2009 after a match against Kettering at Wellingborough was postponed due to bad weather.

Bottles, glasses and furniture were thrown during the incident. A customer suffered a broken jaw.

The men were sentenced for violent disorder at Bristol Crown Court on Friday.

The fracas, which caused more than £5,000 of damage, happened on Saturday 7 February, 2009.

Three men from Gloucestershire who were in the pub and became involved in the altercation were also sentenced after admitting violent disorder.
