A visitor ban at Cheltenham General Hospital will continue over the weekend following an outbreak of norovirus earlier in the week.
A number of staff and patients at the hospital have contracted the illness, which causes diarrhoea and vomiting.
A hospital spokeswoman said following the restrictions, the number of people affected had fallen.
She said the move was necessary to protect vulnerable patients and would be lifted as soon as possible.
She said: "Visitors to children's and maternity wards is limited to partners, parents and carers.
"However, anyone who has had any symptoms of sickness, diarrhoea or flu-like symptoms is asked not to visit until free from them for at least 72 hours."
Outpatient appointments remain unaffected by the measures.
