Memorial service held for Colour Sjt Kevin Fortuna

A soldier from the 1st Battalion The Rifles who was killed in Afghanistan has been remembered in a private church service.

Family and friends gathered at Beachley Barracks to pay their respects to Colour Serjeant Kevin Fortuna.

Colour Sjt Fortuna 36, who grew up in Cheltenham, died in a blast in Helmand Province on Monday while on patrol.

His body was repatriated to RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire on Thursday.

Colour Sjt Fortuna leaves behind his wife Nia, mother Sue and brother Kris.
