Gloucester riots: Boy's arrest puts total at 24

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and another man charged in connection with last week's disorder in Gloucester.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and has been bailed to attend Gloucester Police Station on 20 September.

A 21-year-old from Gloucester, charged with violent disorder, will appear before Cheltenham magistrates later.

The total number of people arrested by Gloucestershire Police in connection with the disorder now stands at 24.

On Tuesday, police arrested a 21-year-old on suspicion of burglary but he is now suspected of violent disorder instead.

Earlier this week video footage of the disturbances, taken from the police helicopter, was released.

It shows youths attacking the Coral bookmakers in Barton Street and the looting of the King Convenience Store in Tredworth Road.
