Gloucester city centre dispersal order ends

A dispersal order aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour in Gloucester city centre will come to an end later.

The zone gave police officers powers to move people whose behaviour could result in harassment.

The order was originally introduced in December 2009 due to an increase in anti-social behaviour, and was extended for six months in July.

Gloucestershire Police said the order had been so successful it did not need to be renewed again.
