A derelict warehouse in Gloucester, which was damaged by fire last week, is to be demolished, the council has said.

The blaze broke out at the Old Norville Works, on Hatherley Road, Tredworth early on 22 February.

A Gloucester City Council spokesman said a specialist company would be brought in to knock down the remains "within the next few weeks".

Police said investigations into the fire, which is being treated as suspicious, were ongoing.

Thirty homes had to be evacuated while firefighters tackled the blaze, which began just before midnight.
