Stroat crash leaves man dead and four people injured

A man has been killed and four people injured in a two-vehicle crash in Gloucestershire.

A BMW and a Fiat Punto crashed shortly after 08:00 GMT on the A48 at Stroat, near Lydney.

A 21-year-old man from South Wales, who was travelling alone, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The four occupants of the other vehicle were taken to hospital but are not believed to have serious injuries, police said.

The road was closed for several hours while police investigated but has since re-opened.
