Biker killed in Hampshire tractor crash was a soldier

A motorcyclist who died in a collision with a tractor being driven by a 16-year-old boy in Hampshire was a soldier who was stationed in the county.

The crash happened on the A339 at the junction to Southrope, in Herriard, near Basingstoke, on Saturday morning.

Wesley Botha, of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, suffered life-threatening injuries and died later in hospital. He was stationed in Bordon.

The 16-year-old boy, from Basingstoke, was uninjured.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
