Ex-Hampshire police officer guilty of abusing boys

A retired Hampshire police officer has been convicted of sexually abusing two boys.

Gordon Hunter, who retired from his role in 2002, was found guilty at Winchester Crown Court of 14 offences dating back to the 1980s and 1990s.

The 64-year-old, of Dene Way, Ashhurst, will be sentenced on 2 September.

Hampshire Constabulary said there was nothing to suggest the offences were directly related to his former roles at the force.

After he stepped down as a police officer, Hunter moved into various support roles until October last year.

He was arrested the same month.
