Southampton residents are being asked to give their views on a plan to protect the city from coastal flooding and erosion over the next century.

The Coastal Defence Strategy focuses on the coastline along the east bank of the River Itchen and Weston Shore.

People living on the coast between Woodmill Lane on the River Itchen and Warsash on the River Hamble will be able to lodge their views.

The three-month consultation period began on Monday.
