Portsmouth cannabis house raided by police


A drugs factory growing cannabis with an estimated street value of £27,000 has been closed down by police.

Officers raided a property in Ophir Road, Hilsea, Portsmouth, after a tip-off from the public.

The house, which was raided on Wednesday, contained about 72 plants, as well as specialist equipment to cultivate them.

Hampshire police said officers were hunting those responsible for the operation.
