Woman raped in Southampton car park

The woman was attacked in the car park of the Infinity Motorcycles store

A woman has been hit on the head and raped in a car park in Southampton.

The 38-year-old was attacked while in the Bevois Valley area of the city on Thursday at about 1115 GMT by a man she had met moments earlier.

Police said the victim met the man in Empress Road and walked with him to Tesco Express in Lodge Road before going to Infinity Motorcycles car park.

The victim, who was hit with a brick or something similar, called police during the attack but was cut off.

The attacker is described as white, aged in his mid to late 20s, about 5ft 6ins tall and wearing a beige jacket, blue jeans and blue beanie hat.
