Fareham rider dies as horse bolts and collides with car

A horse rider has died after being flung from the animal when it galloped out of control and collided with a passing car.
The accident happened at 1615 GMT on Tuesday in Fleet End Road, Warsash, Hampshire.
Linda Harding, 59, from Fareham, was riding her horse Flumpy along a bridleway when it bolted and collided with the rear of a passing car.
The horse rider suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of the blue Vauxhall Corsa, a 53-year-old woman from Locks Heath, was uninjured.
The horse, which sustained minor injuries, was re-captured and examined by a vet before being returned to its stables.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
