A sailor was taken to hospital with neck injuries after his catamaran capsized in Poole Harbour in Dorset.

He and a fellow sailor ended up in the water west of Brownsea Island and were unable to right the boat on Saturday.

A passing boat alerted Portland Coastguard who sent the harbour master's patrol launch and the Poole RNLI Inshore Lifeboat to assist.

The injured man was pulled from the water and taken to a waiting ambulance at Poole Quay.
