Two Southampton men arrested after boy, seven, dies

Two men have been arrested after a seven-year-old boy died in hospital after suffering a serious head injury.

Police were called on Saturday evening to a house in Cromarty Road in Shirley, Southampton.

The boy was taken to hospital but died from his injury on Sunday, a Hampshire police spokeswoman said.

Two men from Shirley, aged 21 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and later released on bail.
