Four people have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender following the death of a man fatally stabbed during a party in Hampshire.

Simon Warton, 27, of Waterlooville, was found injured in the town early on Thursday after reports of a disturbance. He died later in hospital.

Police said the four were detained in the Havant area on Saturday.

A fifth person - Sean Bailey, 28, of Waterlooville - was also arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Warton died of a stab wound.

Earlier the father-of-one's mother, Dawn Warton, said: "The family is very grateful for all the support and wishes from Simon's friends who have been sharing stories of him.

"All of us know Simon had a great sense of humour and was a fun-loving person. Simon always tried to be a good son and he adored his daughter."

Police urged anyone with information about the stabbing to contact them.
