Agim Hoxha murder: More time to quiz suspect
Police have been given more time to question a man over the murder of a crane driver whose body was found in the back of a burning car.
Agim Hoxha, 29, was discovered by emergency services inside a silver Mercedes in Chilworth Drove, Chilworth, near Southampton last Tuesday.
The car belonged to Mr Hoxha, from Cranbury Place, Southampton, who police believe was dead before the fire began.
A 36-year-old held on suspicion of murder remains in custody.
He was arrested in Southampton on Sunday and magistrates have granted police a third extension to his time in custody, until shortly after 17:00 BST on Thursday.
Hampshire Police are keen to trace the movements of the Mercedes C200 CDI in the days before Mr Hoxha's death.
Anyone who may have seen the car with the registration BW53 FZH over the Easter weekend is asked to contact them.
Detectives are also searching for a grey Ford Mondeo Zetec TDCI with the registration HY58 HYL, which also belonged to the murder victim.
They believe this remains parked in a street somewhere in Southampton.
Mr Hoxha was originally from Albania and had lived in the UK for 12 years working on building sites around Southampton and London.
His family described him as "a good and hard worker" who also enjoyed going to the gym and playing Sunday league football.
A 23-year-old arrested last week in Birmingham was later released without charge.
