Six people have been arrested after four men were stabbed in central Southampton.

Those arrested are aged between 17 and 44 and have all been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and violent disorder.

Police received reports of a number of wounded men on Tuesday night.

The men, with arm, hand and abdominal injuries, were found at a pub in Belle Vue Road, a house in Cranbury Avenue and at Royal South Hants Hospital.

A 19-year-old man from London was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Investigating officers have also seized a Vauxhall Astra and a Volkswagen Golf which they believe were involved in the incident.

Officers have renewed their appeal for witnesses and said there was a possibility that more people were involved and had suffered injuries.
