Southampton pub raiders use samurai swords

Men brandishing samurai swords have raided a pub in Southampton and injuring the landlord.

The three masked men forced their way into the White Swan in Mansbridge after closing time, late on Sunday.

The landlord suffered a facial injury, while three other members of staff fled to another part of the building.

Hampshire Police say they are not ruling out a potential link between the incident and two previous robberies on pubs on 9 April and 4 June.

In the first incident, Banana Wharf in Southampton was targeted and, on 4 June, the Fox and Hounds in Bursledon was raided while staff were cashing up.
