A man has been convicted of the murder of a vulnerable Southampton man.

Jamie Dack, 22, was attacked in a Southampton squat over the Easter weekend and his body dumped in an industrial estate bin and set alight.

Lee Nicholls, 28, originally denied murder but changed his plea while giving evidence at Winchester Crown Court.

Ryan Woodmansey, 31; Andrew Dwyer-Skeats, 26 and Donna Chalk, 21, remain on trial and deny murder.

The three have admitted perverting the course of justice by disposing of the body and cleaning up the scene of the killing.

The jury has been sent home until Tuesday while the judge hears legal arguments on the implications of the development.
