Man killed in motorway collision
A man has died after two cars were involved in a collision on a motorway in Hampshire.
Police were called at 22:13 GMT on Saturday after two Vauxhalls crashed on the southbound carriageway of the M3, between junctions eight and nine.
A 54-year-old man, later named as Andrew Greest from Gosport, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second car did not stop.
A 44-year-old man was arrested later on the M3 near Basingstoke.
He remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A section of the motorway was closed for eight hours after the accident.
