Aldershot attack victims need specialist treatment

Two men are being treated at a specialist hospital for facial injuries after being attacked in Hampshire.

The victims were assaulted at the Jet petrol station in Aldershot High Street at about 01:00 BST.

A 45-year-old man suffered cuts to his face from someone carrying a knife. A 32-year-old man received injuries to his mouth and teeth which are not thought to have been caused by a knife.

Both men are now being treated at St. George's Hospital in London.

Det Sgt Alan Hastings is urging witnesses to come forward.

He said: "We are pursuing several leads including details of three men aged in their late teens.

"Witnesses have described them as being involved in the confrontation.

"These three suspects, all described as white males in their late teens or early 20s were seen after the assault heading along Waterloo Road towards Newport Road."

Police are analysing CCTV from the area and examining video footage from body-cameras worn by the first police officers who arrived at the scene.
