Alton assault victim's death a 'tragedy'
The death of a man believed to have been murdered in Hampshire has been described as a "tragedy" by his family.
Adam Cadman, 32, died on Wednesday. It is believed he had been assaulted at a flat in Lansdowne Court, in Anstey Road, Alton, the previous day.
In a statement his family said: "What has happened to Adam is a tragedy that we wouldn't wish on anyone."
A 38-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, both from Farnborough, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
They remain in police custody after Hampshire Constabulary was given a 36-hour extension to interview them.
Mr Cadman was found in a life-threatening condition on Tuesday. He was taken to North Hampshire Hospital by ambulance but died the following day.
The family statement added: "Adam will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
"He was a much loved young man who was both a loving son to his family and a loving father to his two young sons.
"We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and condolences but would now appreciate the opportunity to grieve in private."
Police have appealed for anyone who saw or heard a disturbance to come forward.
"Officers are continuing to carry out numerous enquiries into the circumstances surrounding his death," a spokesman added.
