Third arrest over Alton fatal assault

A third man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal assault on a man in Alton.

Adam Cadman, 32, was found in a life-threatening condition on Tuesday - he died in hospital the following day.

It is believed he was assaulted at a flat in Lansdowne Court, Anstey Road.

A 34-year-old man from Alton has been detained on suspicion of murder. Hampshire Police have appealed for anyone who saw or heard a disturbance to come forward.

A 38-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, both from Farnborough, arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder, remain in police custody after Hampshire Constabulary was given a 36-hour extension to interview them.
