Mobility scooter rider in Southampton repeatedly runs over man

A 67-year-old man suffered a broken ankle and knee when he was repeatedly run over by a man on a mobility scooter.

The scooter rider, who is described as in his 70s with short grey hair, deliberately targeted the man knocking him over on the pavement, police said.

He repeatedly rode over him in Portswood Road, Southampton, before a woman intervened on Monday afternoon.

The victim is currently in hospital receiving treatment.
