Man charged after woman stabbed in back in Portsmouth

Police said the victim was stabbed in the back near London Road in Portsmouth
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in the back while walking in a busy shopping street.
The 35-year-old victim was attacked outside Barclays Bank in London Road, North End, Portsmouth, on Saturday afternoon.
Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Dler Fariq Mohammed, 42, of no fixed address, has been charged with one count of attempted murder.
He appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court earlier and was remanded in custody to appear at the city's crown court on 8 August.
A 41-year-old man, from Portsmouth, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder has been released without charge and will face no further action.
