Man, 71, released after murder inquiry in Andover

A 71-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murdering another pensioner has been told he will face no further action.

Malcolm Cox, 84, was found with a "laceration to the back of his head" at a neighbour's house in Bell Road, Andover, on 15 November, police said.

He was taken to the North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke and died the following day.

A 39-year-old woman from Andover who was also arrested on suspicion of murder remains on bail until 6 June.
