Fourth man charged after Hampshire robbery spate
A fourth man has been charged after a series of 18 robberies in 16 days in Hampshire.
A 39-year-old man, of no fixed address, is accused of robbing Glitz hair salon on Janson Road, Southampton, on 28 November, police said.
He also faces two charges of fraud and is due to appear before magistrates in Southampton on Friday.
Police have linked 18 raids at premises in Southampton and Eastleigh between 19 November and 4 December.
Eight people were assaulted during the attacks by robbers armed with knives, hammers, poles or planks of wood, police said.
Three other men have also been charged in connection with the robberies.
