Man charged after Redditch stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Worcestershire.

Officers were called to a house in Oakenshaw Road just before midnight on Wednesday.

The man, who was set to appear before Redditch magistrates, was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

The man, in his 40s, who was stabbed, remains in the town's Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
