Pershore aerospace industry suppliers in administration

Two Worcestershire-based firms which are suppliers to the aerospace industry have gone into administration.

Administrators KPMG said no redundancies have yet been made at Blade Tooling Company Limited and Blade Technology, a partnership in Pershore.

The businesses, which employ 57 and eight people respectively, were continuing to trade whilst a buyer was sought, KPMG said.

It added the firms have suffered as a result of "tough" trading conditions.

Will Wright and Mark Orton of KPMG were appointed joint administrators on Thursday.

Mr Wright said: "Trading conditions have been tough through the recession and unfortunately the businesses have suffered as a result.

"Despite the directors' and partners' best efforts, it has proved impossible to secure a required sale and they had no option but to request our appointment.

"We will be endeavouring to trade the businesses to continue the search for a going concern solution."
