Nine held after Kidderminster firearms incident

Nine people were arrested after two men reported they had been threatened with a firearm at a flat in Worcestershire.

Police arrested four men and three women in Kidderminster's Hurcott Road area after being called on Friday.

Three of them were held on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm and released on police bail until 28 March.

The other four were released without charge. Two men were arrested on suspicion of affray and released on police bail until 29 March.

Police were called at about 1730 GMT on Friday and an airgun, a flick knife, a baton and a small quantity of drugs were recovered.

Of the three arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm and released on police bail, two were men.

Of the two men and two women also arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and released without charge, one of the men was cautioned for a drugs offence.
