Arrest after body found at house in Evesham

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was found at a house in Worcestershire.

The 53-year-old was discovered by officers at the house on Brick Kiln Street, Evesham, at 1045 GMT on Sunday.

The woman has been in custody in Worcester. West Mercia Police said it was not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.

A post-mortem examination has taken place and formal identification of the body will take place in due course.

Temporary Det Supt Paul Williamson said: "I would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard a disturbance or anything suspicious in the Brick Kiln Street area between around midnight on Saturday (12 February) and 11am the following day (Sunday)."

The woman remained in custody at Worcester Police Station on Monday afternoon while inquiries continued.
