Bromsgrove Hockey Club starts 24-hour hockey marathon

A club in Worcestershire has started a 24-hour hockey marathon to help raise money for a community astroturf.

Bromsgrove Hockey Club wants to raise more than £300,000 for a new pitch at Bromsgrove Tennis, Cricket and Hockey Club in the town's Aston Fields area.

The marathon has been split into two 12-hour days of continuous matches at Bromsgrove School on 9 and 10 April.

Players have been sponsored to take part and the club has organised a disco and barbecue for the evening.
