Police grant after Kidderminster allotment thefts

Police have given a £500 grant towards a new fence around allotments following thefts at the Worcestershire site.

Sheds have been broken into and tools and vegetables stolen at Comberton Community Allotments in Dunclent Crescent, Kidderminster.

Wyre Forest District Council gave about £700 towards the fencing scheme and the Comberton Community Fund also gave £500, West Mercia Police said.

The allotments had a low fence and were therefore vulnerable, it added.
