Nine vehicles destroyed in Worcestershire arson attack

A fire at a Worcestershire vehicle recovery company has destroyed nine vehicles, police have said.

The blaze on the Saxon Business Park at Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, started at about 0345 BST. It was put out at about 0600 BST.

Police said they were treating the fire as arson and officers are appealing for witnesses.

An investigation has been started between West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester fire service.

Watch commander Nigel Smart said that although there was "substantial damage", firefighters minimised it to the nearby properties.

"It was fortunate that the smoke from this fire was noticed so early," station commander Ian Jallands added.
