Hereford Livestock Market's new £7m home has opened on the outskirts of the city.

The market left its city centre site on 15 June after 156 years of trading to allow the area around Edgar Street to be redeveloped.

After 10 years of planning, it has now moved to a new custom-built market at Stretton Sugwas.

The 48-acre site can hold up to 8,000 sheep and 500 cattle and hosted its first auction at 1315 BST.
