Man charged with kidnap and sexual assault in Worcester

A man has been charged following two assaults on women in Worcester.

A woman waiting at a bus stop in Barbourne Road early on 24 April was grabbed by a man and pulled towards Gheluvelt Park before he ran off.

In a second incident a woman walking on Sansome Walk was subjected to a serious sexual assault at about 04:25 BST on 6 May.

A man in his 20s has been charged with sexual assault and two counts of kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence.

The man, who was arrested on Thursday, has been remanded in custody and will appear at Worcester Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning.
