Alethea Taylor: Husband charged with murder

The husband of a missing Herefordshire woman, Alethea Taylor, has been charged with her murder.

Mrs Taylor, 63, has been missing for five months and was last seen at her home in Orleton on 19 January.

Her husband John Taylor, 60, was arrested on Tuesday and will appear at Hereford Magistrates on Saturday morning.

There have been extensive searches by police, mountain rescue teams and the local community.

Det Insp Dave Williams said: "Although this represents a significant step forward in our inquiry, our work on this case will be continuing."

"We remain keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have information about Alethea's disappearance."
