Tyler Vallance admits manslaughter of baby daughter

A man has admitted the manslaughter of his baby daughter.

Tyler Vallance, 21, from Redditch, Worcestershire, pleaded guilty to killing two-month-old Isabella Vallance on 12 December 2012.

Isabella's mother, Jessica Wiggins, has denied causing or allowing the death of a child and child cruelty.

The 19 year-old, formerly of Engadine Road, Bromsgrove, will stand trial next Tuesday. Vallance will be sentenced at a later date.

He also admitted a charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.

Christopher Hotton QC prosecuting said: "We are all of the view that we accept those pleas."

Ms Wiggins will be tried for an alleged offence of child cruelty between 5 October and 8 December 2012 and causing or allowing the death of Isabella.

Her trial is expected to last 10 days.
