Firefighters have spent six hours tackling a blaze at a waste paper recycling plant in Herefordshire.

Five crews from Herefordshire and one from Worcester tackled the fire, which broke out at Wye Waste Paper at Pixley, near Ledbury, at 13:30 BST.

Station Commander Phil Major said tankers had to bring in water due to the fire's distance from a hydrant.

He said two crews would remain on site overnight because the bales of waste paper could reignite.

No-one was injured in the fire, the cause of which is not yet known.
