Teenager charged with arson attack on Hull house

An 18-year-old man has been charged over an arson attack on a house in Hull which had five people inside.

Police were called to the house in Hereford Street after the fire broke out at 0400 BST on Thursday.

The occupants, including a heavily pregnant woman, escaped from the house and were treated in hospital for the effects of smoke inhalation.

Lewis Dickinson, from Hull, is due to appear before Hull magistrates charged with arson with intent.

Police said the occupants had all been discharged from hospital.

Two men, aged 19 and 24, were also arrested but have been released without charge.
