A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attack which left a hotel manager blinded in one eye.
Michael Brown, 53, was hit with an unknown weapon in the car park of the Yorkway Motel in Pocklington, East Yorkshire on 8 July.
He suffered a fractured skull and eye damage and underwent extensive surgery.
Police said they arrested a man from South Killingholme, North Lincolnshire on Thursday. He is being questioned at Scunthorpe police station.
Officers still want to speak to anyone who saw a red Vauxhall Corsa at or near the Yorkway Motel on 8 July.
