Council targets noisy neighbours in Lincolnshire

A four-week "programme of action" has been started by a council to deal with complaints from residents about noise.

North East Lincolnshire Council said it was responding to an increase in complaints about people playing music too loudly and other noise issues.

Its community team will be available until midnight every Friday and Saturday night during the operation.

The council said people should not be plagued by "unreasonable noise".

Those who do not comply with requests to keep noise levels down can face a fine of up to £5,000.
