Hull families moved after arson attack

Six families had to leave their homes in Hull after a fire started by arsonists spread to their properties.

The fire started in a shed attached to a house in Wickenby Garth, Bransholme, on Tuesday night. It spread to the roof of the house and five other homes.

The fire service said all six homes had been left uninhabitable because of smoke and water damage.

The residents, who were not hurt, were moved to temporary accommodation. Police are investigating the incident.
