Woman's eye is injured in Bridlington attack
A woman has been taken to hospital with a serious eye injury after one of a large gang of youths struck her in the eye with an object.
Police said the youths had damaged a window at a property in Elma Villas in Bridlington at 1930 BST on Tuesday.
Officers said the 41-year-old woman was then hurt when she confronted the group of 20 to 30 youths about the damage.
Police said three 16-year-old boys were arrested in connection with the incident. They appealed for witnesses.
They said the boys were currently in police custody.
The victim was admitted to Scarborough Hospital with a serious eye injury and was detained for treatment.
Police said it was not yet clear how much damage had been caused to her eye.
