Murder inquiry into Scunthorpe woman's death

Detectives have started a murder inquiry following the death of a woman in North Lincolnshire.

Jane Parker, 25, died in an ambulance after she was injured in an incident at a house in Dragonby Road, Scunthorpe, on Wednesday afternoon.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody.

A post-mortem examination is to be held on Thursday. Police said officers were supporting Mrs Parker's family.

Neighbourhood officers remained in the Dragonby Road area to provide reassurance for residents.
