A school in Scunthorpe which was closed all last week after snow damaged its roof has reopened.

All pupils returned to Riddings Infant and Nursery School, in Dragonby Road, on Tuesday morning after building work took place over the weekend.

The school's kitchen is still not in use and meals are being provided by the neighbouring Riddings Junior School.

Metal girders in the school hall buckled under the weight of snow which fell on the roof.
