A road in Hull has been closed for "urgent repairs" after a large pothole emerged as a result of the recent wintry weather.

Large parts of the road surface on North Road have disintegrated following heavy snowfall.

Hull City Council said the route would be closed to traffic until 20 December.

The authority said diversions had been put in place via Boothferry Road, Hessle Road and that Francis Askew Primary School was open as normal.
